I’VE BEEN THINKING a lot lately about what freedom really means. 

We talk about getting money. We talk about starting businesses. We talk about ownership. 

But somewhere between wanting more and actually building more, a lot of people are missing something: 

The plan. 

You can hustle seven days a week and still be financially stuck. You can have an LLC and not have a business that is positioned to grow.You can have good credit and still not understand what a lender sees when they look at your profile. You can make money and still have no assets, no financial structure and no strategy for what happens when the income stops. 

That’s the conversation I want to have this month. Because getting an opportunity is one thing.  

Knowing what to do with it is another. 

GET WITH OUR PLAN 

This month, Cottrell Enterprises officially introduces GWOP University. GWOP means Get With Our Plan. 

We created GWOP University around something I’ve seen over and over again: people aren’t necessarily lacking ambition.They’re lacking access to practical financial education and a sequence they can actually follow. 

There is information everywhere. Credit. LLCs. Business funding. Banking. Investing. Entrepreneurship. Everybody has a video telling you what to do. 

But what’s the order? What applies to you? What should you fix first? And what happens after you finally get access to capital? 

GWOP University was created to connect those dots. 

The program begins with mindset and moves into understanding credit, credit management, banking relationships, funding readiness, responsible leverage, business structure and ownership. 

Our philosophy is simple: Money does not respond to hustle. Money responds to structure.  

That’s why GWOP doesn’t begin with somebody telling you where to apply for money. It begins with understanding how you think about money. 

From there, we build. 

MORE THAN A COURSE 

GWOP University is more than a collection of videos. 

We’ve built a digital ecosystem designed to take financial education out of theory and put it into people’s hands. 

Through the GWOP University website and app, users can enter the GWOP ecosystem, access education and resources, identify where they are in their financial journey and begin determining what their next move should be. 

The GWOP YouTube channel extends that mission even further. Some information needs to be free. 

I want somebody sitting at home wondering how to fix their credit, structure their business or prepare themselves for funding to be able to find us and leave knowing more than they 

did before they pressed play. YouTube becomes our classroom without walls. 

GWOP University becomes the place where education turns into implementation. And Cottrell Enterprises provides the structure behind the larger vision. 

MONEY ISN’T THE WHOLE CONVERSATION

We’re also expanding what financial education can look like. We have to talk about entrepreneurship. We have to talk about ownership. 

But we also have to talk about mental wellness. Financial stress doesn’t stay in your bank account. You carry it home.  

It affects relationships. 

It affects families. 

It affects sleep. 

It affects decision-making. 

It affects the way people see themselves and their future. 

So when we talk about wealth, I want GWOP to address the whole person. Because the goal isn’t simply having access to more money.  

The goal is having the knowledge, discipline, health and structure to do something meaningful with it.
