On Tuesday July 16th, the BostonMan Magazine Legacy Club and it’s guests ventured outside of “Boston Proper” for the first time, taking their mid-summer event to the gorgeous Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy for the release of the BostonMan Summer 2019 issue.
The event, co-hosted by 2019 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model and current BostonMan Magazine cover Camille Kostek, was a spectacular evening from start to finish featuring breathtaking views of the Boston skyline, the finest leaders in their respective industries in the city and –of course in true Camille Kostek style- a night of dancing and celebrating.
“We started this concept less than a year ago,” said BostonMan Publisher Matt Ribaudo during the evening announcements. “And with this summer issue, it marks our first full year run.”
The monumental evening and magazine release was highlighted by Kostek, who not only is the first woman to be on the cover of BostonMan magazine, but also the first solo person to grace the full cover without an inset or 2nd person.
“It’s such an honor to be the first singular person and woman on the cover of BostonMan Magazine,” Kostek said. “When I first met Matt, I knew he got it. It’s nice that BostonMan is telling the full story of my journey and not just the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit piece. To be able to share this with (Legacy Club Member) Holly (Christenen) and Dune Jewelry too is just amazing!”
Dune Jewelry, the first company to feature a unique Camille Kostek line, was on-hand at the event as well displaying a stunning lay-out and trunk show with some of their latest lines. Legacy Club members were able to try on and learn more about this unique Boston-based brand that is truly making waves nation-wide!
Both Kostek and Dune Jewelry founder Christensen flew in the same day for the historical Legacy Club Event. With Kostek coming in from Miami’s Swim Week and Christensen arriving cross-country from a set with Mario Lopez and E! Extra, which is soon to be released.
“This was one event I wasn’t going to miss for the world!” Christensen exclaimed.
As part of BostonMan’s “The Book Shelf” and “Leaders are Readers” program, Legacy Club members were treated to a free copy and customized signing of local author Marc Zappulla’s The Last Longshoreman, a chilling fictional novel about crime and corruption on the Boston waterfront.
The “Book Shelf” which has featured Roseann Sdoia’s Perfect Strangers and Paul Napper’s and Anthony Rao’s The Power of Agency at past Legacy Club events is quickly becoming a hit, not just with BostonMan but throughout the entire city as well.
“I met Marc (Zappulla) and within two days of the BostonMan event I had finished Longshoreman,” Legacy Club Member Ed Naczi remarked. “I couldn’t put it down. Now I’m on to his other books!”
As always, there were tons of images, both with photos and video, capturing the magical occasion.

Special recognition must also go out to Legacy Club Member Jimmie Espo of 617 Weddings. Espo had the entire BostonMan Legacy Club and all of their guests #NeverNotDancing all night long.
Legacy Club Member, Carlo Caponigro, better known throughout Boston as “Mr. Monday” was out in full-effect recording segments with his crew for his wildly entertaining “Mr. Monday” and “Breaking Balls” shows. Both Legacy Club members and guests alike were lining up for their opportunity to be interviewed for the iconic Monday evening broadcast! Check out the Breaking Balls Facebook page for both video recaps and full episodes from the BostonMan event.
“Matty Magazine gets it old-school style!” Caponigro enthusiastically stated. “He has a sense of community and is doing it the right way here in Boston!”
“I have never been so happy to be a part of something as I am with this (BostonMan Legacy Club),” added Legacy Club Member Dedra Estes. “This is so incredibly worthwhile.”
Other media filming included Michael Zotos, and his award-winning PerformerTV, who ensnared many of the red carpet moments from the celebration.
The HERE Boston Network, Boston’s fastest growing OTT platform, were also among the faces in the crowd interviewing many of the talent at the event for future content on their network. For those that have not already done so, be sure to download the HERE Boston app and check out all of the familiar folks from BostonMan Magazine and the Legacy Club events!
The Summer 2019 July event marked the first time ALL FIVE feature stories in an issue were on hand for a BostonMan Magazine release. In addition to Kostek and Christensen (Dune Jewelry), Natasha Verma of the Verma Fondation, The Boston Renegades Beep Baseball team (they play baseball blind!), Granite Links Golf Club, and the aforementioned HERE Boston Network were all among the evening’s attendees. Be sure to check out ALL of these features at BostonManMagazine.com!
“It’s such an honor to be here and to be featured in this magazine,” Renegades manager Rob Weissman said. “The players love it and are thrilled to be a part of this!”
In one of the more symbolic moments of the evening, Kostek met Ashley Clark and Devon Previte of Soigne Hats. Clark, like Kostek, got her start as an NFL Cheerleader and in the years since has similarly been able to build an empire with her Soigne Hats brand. One of the goals Clark has with Soigne is to be able to help establish the careers of young talented Boston models, which she has been doing since the launch of her company in 2016.
Previte is the model featured on the stunning back cover Soigne spread for the summer BostonMan issue. To be featured on the back cover of a magazine where Kostek is featured on the front was a surreal moment for her:
“I am beyond blessed that Soigne chose me to represent them in BostonMan Magazine,” Previte said. “To be on the back cover of this historic issue and to meet Camille has been an incredible experience!”
With another remarkable Legacy Club event in the books, BostonMan Magazine continues to grow, both in Legacy Club memberships and with advertisers and sponsors.
Kostek is among those who are now officially part of the Legacy Club community: “I just got my official pin tonight,” she noted. “And boy does it feel good!”
With BostonMan Magazine’s 1-year anniversary event coming up in mid-September Ribaudo stated that the group would like to be 100 members strong by then.
“We’re at about 65 members now,” he observed. “With a good push in August leading to the anniversary event, we might be able to hit the century mark.”
Until then, there is much to reflect on and enjoy with the current issue of BostonMan Magazine and the alluring evening spent at Granite Links celebrating the release of it.
