ON MONDAY, September 16th, Wave + Woven CEO and Boston’s Runway Ball producer Amanda Vargus announced ‘A Winter’s Dream’ theme for this year’s highly anticipated encore presentation to the fashion gala that “captivated the city of Boston” during it’s inaugural show last winter.
Returning to the Hilton Boston Park Plaza on Sunday December 15th, this year’s show, said Vargus, will expand on what The Runway Ball was able to accomplish last year during its ‘Hollywood at Night’ theme.
“The overall purpose and vision remains the same,” the chic stylist explained. “But with the new theme (‘A Winter’s Dream’) and a year to refine various elements, this year’s show will be even more spectacular than last year.”
The 2023 Runway Ball, named 2023 Show of the Year in Boston by Regan Communications, has had the fashion and lifestyle scene in Boston and beyond buzzing for the last nine months.
“That was absolutely the best fashion show and experience in Boston,” Francois Pierre, owner and lead photographer of JFP Memories confirms. “I have been to every show in Boston and many others throughout the country. The Runway Ball is the best I’ve ever seen.”
The 2024 Runway Ball designers, musicians, and entertainment will begin to be revealed in the coming weeks, Vargus said, which will include a mix of some familiar faces from last year with a host of new talent herself -along with co-producers Matt Ribaudo of BostonMan Magazine and Jimmie Espo of The 617 Event Group- have been scouting out.
“We’re definitely excited to show the city what we have in store,” she said smiling.
