ON Monday September 30, Matt Ribaudo and Amanda Vargus, co-producers of Boston’s Runway Ball, jointly announced that Bless Mazarua -better known by his designer moniker, Bless by Bless– has been named a featured designer and anchor for the second annual Runway Ball coming to Hilton Boston Park Plaza on December 15th.

Coinciding with the designer announcement, Ribaudo also revealed that Bless will be one of the featured stories in the upcoming 6-year Anniversary fall edition of his BostonMan Magazine publication, slated for a mid-November release.

“Bless has been one of the top designers, if not the very best in Boston for years,” Ribaudo said. “He doesn’t do many shows in the area, so a lot of people in the region may not know his fascinating story, but we are honored to be able to tell it, and cannot wait to share his journey with our regional and global audience.”

A returning designer from last year’s Runway Ball, Bless echoed the excitement on being part of this year’s installment of Boston’s celebrated winter fashion and culture extravaganza as well.

“I am honored for another Bless By Bless feature in the Runway Ball,” Bless said. “It’s an event that’s doing amazing things for local designers and charities. Last year was amazing, and I know this year is going to be even better.”

Two weeks ago, Vargus announced ‘A Winter’s Dream’ theme for the 2024 Runway Ball and said her and Bless have already begun brainstorming different interpretations they will curate on December 15th.

“Bless is one of the most talented and innovative designers I have ever met,” she emphasized. “I love the vision and execution of all of his shows, and can’t wait to produce with him again on this year’s Runway Ball.”

For the 2023 Runway Ball Bless punctuated the final walk of the show -one featuring St. Jude Children and Research Hospital’s “This Tee Shirt Saves Lives” campaign with an iconic bow that has been reposted on social media accounts globally. ‘The Bow’ (which can be viewed HERE) is now just one of many moments that is part of Boston’s Runway Ball -and fashion and culture lure- in the city.

St. Jude Children’s and Research Hospital of New England is once again the beneficiary for Boston’s Runway Ball.
