Well, Big Papi, of course! Big Papi is an absolute Boston legend. Every dinner needs a party-starter and you know you’re getting that with David Ortiz. He’s in.
I’ll go with Zdeno Chara. I just love big human beings, because I’m a bigger guy. Chara’s like 6’10” on the ice – he just thrills me. He amuses me with how big he is out there on skates.
I’m gonna go with Kevin Garnett as the third. I just love his toughness and the grit that he brings to the table. He didn’t take any garbage. And I feel like with his personality, he’ll be talking shit over the dinner table, and I love when people talk shit. It gets my blood going, so I would definitely bring him. Definitely. It will spark things up.
I can’t pick any of my teammates because there are just too many, but I am going to go with another Patriots player – Drew Bledsoe. Yeah, I’ll go with Drew Bledsoe, because I really like Drew. I met him at the Tom Brady roast, and he really started the Patriots dynasty. He represented what it was to be a great quarterback in that era. I love what Drew represents, and I’d like to pick his brain. I feel like he’s a very sophisticated guy with his wine, so I’d make him bring all the wine, so we drink for free.
