WITH six of the seven designers for Boston’s First Annual Runway Ball revealed last month, Wave + Woven CEO, Amanda Vargus and BostonMan Magazine publisher, Matt Ribaudo recently began the selection process of models walking the runway on Sunday, December 3rd at Boston Park Plaza.

“I am gushing over the extraordinary talent that has reached out to us about participating in this show,” Amanda said. “The designers are next level vibe, and we have so many fierce models available to us in matching our designs, styles, and themes for the evening.”

Amanda disclosed that there will be “around 40” models walking in various capacities at the show, and with over 200 model submissions to choose from, there is no shortage of talent.

Matt is equally impressed.

“I am really touched by the amount of submissions we’ve received from models who have been a part of BostonMan Magazine in some form or another over our first five years,” he said. “It’s humbling seeing all of the different aspects of our community and how they all connect.”

Both Amanda and Matt emphasized that while they wish they could have everyone walk at the show they have to begin narrowing down the selections.

“There really isn’t any ‘good, better, best’ in our minds,” Matt said. “We just want to announce this in a couple of different waves so that we have the opportunity to give everyone selected some well deserved moments of recognition.”
