When fashion season in Boston rolls around many glamours memories of iconic model “Our Girl Linda” lighting up the runway come to mind followed by the warmth that only her smile could bring.
Recently the charity geared around Linda Cole Petrosian brought the cities top fashion designers and glitterati out to support St Jude’s Children Hospital. The evening opened with Hostess legendary fashion icon and mother to Linda, Yolanda Cellucci welcoming guests and honoring the memory of Linda.
Cellucci kept the event rolling right into the fashion portion where Designer David Josef showed a colling of flowing beauty in long length gowns and a blue dress with a slit up the middle and sparkle that caught everyone’s eye.
Following was the timeless and elegant Designer Denise Hajjar. Showing pinks, hand beaded skirts, everyday dress for the office with pattern flare, and an iconic honeycomb piece worn by Linda in print publications.
Up next was a unisex styled jacket set of looks from men’s designer and custom tailor Alan Rouleau Couture. He featured outer wear that can suit up a man or a women’s taste for fine apparel. Right behind was Frugal Fannies Boutique, a shop well known to Lady Linda. Her line was focal on a deep plum velvet shown in a dress and pant suit and a stunning red embroidered dress.
Gliding in next was the stunning Suphi Furs that had a whimsical in white fairytale theme with authentic one-of-a-kind furs. Bella Sera a boutique close to the Cellucci family followed with a collection of dazzling ball room dresses.
Debonair dress Designer Daniel Faucher was next to hit the runway with beautiful beading, a soft color scheme and an olive green, lace trimmed ensemble with couture cuts that had the feel of a royal event awaited.
Closing out the fashion portion of the fundraiser was Sondra Celli is a gem herself in a family of runway royalty. A sister to Our Girl Linda and daughter to the legendary Yolanda Cellucci, Sondra has left her own legacy of glitz and glamour. The collection she showed had a look for everyone from dresses, jackets, ball room right down to an evening out with each piece donning diamonds as bright as Linda’s smile.
The night ended with a raffle drawing from the amazing gifts donated brining a total of over $50,000 raised for the St. Jude’s Charity. The evening was a class act success highlighting the legend Linda was and closing out the only was she would have; the floor was open for guests to dance the night away.
